what keeps jess up at night?
the main thing is actually just thinking about the copious amounts of things i want to achieve in life, and the crazy amount of things i want to do and my creative endeavours, and things i want to try - like what i want to shoot, people i want to work with, and things i want to buy. just everything that will help me shape myself into the human i want to be. this is what everyone has i think to be honest. but it keeps me awake for hours. ultimately what keeps me up is all the creative routes i want to go down and try out. i put a lot of pressure on myself to be creating the most, doing the most and achieving the most. so yeah, i think thats the main thing.
...
what is your biggest inspiration when it comes to shooting?
inspiration comes from the idea of being able to travel with work. that’s the aspiration to be able to visit beautiful countries and experience different things and people overseas. even if its just a weekend away tbh. to work with teams of other creative people. for me if i could ever start doing that, where people want my talent with them wherever they are going thats when i feel like ‘ive made it in life.’ if that makes any sense?

what can you see infront of you?
i am sending this to you fresh out of moving back to london. and i havent been back here for 10 years to actually live. so not to sound cringe but im seeing a bright and exciting future ahead. im going to be working with new clients and new people. i want to dedicate this next year to hustling in my creative works. so i see fun, big career moves. i feel like this is the year where it ‘all happens.’ ive felt no inspiration for the last couple years. i didnt care to make an effort to change that. but now im feeling like i am motivated with my works and im feeling positive and amazing things are coming out of that.
...
3 things that come to mind when i say 'sleep.'
mind switching off. logging out from scary scary life. being able to tap out. dissociation is a big thing i guess.
the other thing that comes to mind is comfort - being content and happy after rushing around. i want to get into my squishy covers and blankets. and i feel comfortable and happy and at ease. which is an amazing thing at the end of a day.
and the last thing is doomscrolling.
